The Indian sapota exporter exports tones of fruits abroad each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the various uses and benefits of the fruits, the Sapota export from India has been increasing over the years. The export of Sapota from India is now a good business opportunity for local farmers and vendors to expand their business and enter the international market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Palghar district of Maharashtra produces around 36% of total chikoo production from Maharashtra state.&nbsp; There are around 48 units operating in Dahanu Chickoo cluster.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gholvad chikoo is GI tagged as compared to other varieties, sweetness of Gholvad Chickoo is much better. The Gholvad Chikoo Pulp is very soft and smooth and granular and it has 2 3 seeds inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In India, Sapota is a fruit that is mostly sold on the domestic market. One exporter is trying its best this year to make the fruit more popular in European markets. The chocolate or caramel-like taste should make the fruit a hit with European consumers, the exporter feels.
